Amy Golahny is a former congregant who now lives in Pennsylvania. Amy Golahny's father lives in Newton and is a current member of the Shul. In his nineties, he has become home-bound and is no longer able to attend Shul events. (His granddaughter was married here at Adams Street five years ago.)
Rabbi Weinberg had been visiting him at home until recently. Given the Rabbi's retirement and the fact that he is spending more time in Israel, the Rabbi is no longer able to continue the weekly visits. We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers who would be interested and willing to assume the mitzvah of visiting this gentleman at home. He would very much like to receive visits from a Shul member.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to give you his contact information.
