Education Banner - portraits of Adams Street Rabbis

Now in our second century of service to the community, the Adams Street Shul has been the home of hundreds of presentations by great rabbis and teachers.  Most of our classes are recorded.  If you can't be here in person, enjoy our online audio and video recordings.  We also have a page of links to shiurim on this week's portion, updated daily from all over the Internet.

During our current transition to new rabbinic leadership, members are invited to give Divrei Torah at services.  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Weekly Saturday Afternoon Class

Everyone is invited to our weekly class on The Religious Roots of the State of Israel, which meets Saturday afternoons.

Recently we have been analyzing Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook's article Eulogy in Jerusalem, written in response to Theodore Hertzl’s death.

The class is led by Elana Medvedovsky-Khanukaev.

Elana was previously the Educational Director at Center Makor, and is currently a board member there, focused on developing special programs.

Elana has a vast interest in Jewish texts and Jewish Philosophical thinking (both medieval and contemporary), and is excited to share her knowledge and passion with the wide Jewish community.

Elana is also a practicing psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, with clinical interests in classic psychoanalysis and in attachment theory.

The class begins each Saturday at about 12:30 PM, after kiddush winds down.
