Toast Marshmallows While You Burn Your Chametz!
On your most hectic day of the year, why trek to Brighton or Newton Center to safely burn your chametz? This year you can do it with the Adams Street Shul right here in Newton!
In partnership with the Newton Fire Department, we will be safely toasting kosher marshmallows and burning chametz. (No, not at the same fire.)
On Friday, April 11, our fiery event will be open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Great news for the Jews of Newton North, Watertown, and Waltham.
Participation is free. Donations are welcome. To reserve your marshmallows, or for more information about what to burn or where to park, visit https://chametz.EventBrite.com
The historic Adams Street Shul was already world-famous in Newton. Now you have one more reason to visit! Come on over!
Are you a Zionist?
Save the date and join us, either in person at the Shul or online via zoom, on Sunday May 27th at 11am, as Brandeis University scholar Gilad Cohen presents “The Clash of the Early Zionists”.
If you are familiar with Zionism's popular history, but open to critically assessing your ideas and opinions in light of academic sources, you will find this an engaging event.
Admission is free. Tickets are required. Donations are welcome. To reserve your ticket, or for more information about the presentation and the speaker, visit https://zionists.eventbrite.com
