Many thanks to all who helped make last Sunday's annual spring social event, The Picnic With the Trees, so great:
Thank you Rabbi Ahron Benmergui for sharing beautiful words of Torah about how our reciting the trees blessing not only expresses appreciation to God for all the delights provided by trees, but also brings good things to the Jewish People.
Thank you Rustin Shenkman for assistance with lots of logistics. Not just the Shul's drinks, desserts, and table supplies, but especially for making the big comfy tent available!
Thank you Benyomin Fleischmann for telling a wonderful story about rabbis and trees during the Holocaust, and how this engenders a deeper appreciation of the life of trees.
Thank you Wagner Family for hosting the event in their fruit-tree-surrounded yard, and for the theater-style popcorn machine and the marshmallow fire-pit.
And thank you to all who came together to create new memories of enjoyable snacking and schmoozing.
